MV: Dre-Ski – Why We Hustle (Prod. The Common Wealth) | @DreSki757
To me, this is Dre’s best song, to date. It speaks to the struggle and the rise of an artist who is facing all sorts of obstacles. Along the way are what appear to be impenetrable forces that are determined only to bring Dre down, but he’s got his own plan and mission, and with a soulful beat from The Common Wealth who subtly colors the production with a variety of xylophonic sounds, Dre-Ski fully captivates us with full-force emotions and a hunger that are the core of his drive to hustle and succeed. Look out for this single on Dre’s upcoming Cloud 8.7, due out in September.
