Performance: Kanye West in Amsterdam (2004)
When I saw this video embedded on the homie Hyphen’s site, I couldn’t believe my eyes. Then I proceeded to watch it and thought, “Ah, this will probably be about a few minutes of the entire performance or various snippets,” but no! It’s the entire oh-my-god-what-are-we-watching-before-us performance that had to be even 28422349 times more epic just because it’s in Amsterdam (I mean, you’ve gotta be the worst if Amsterdam doesn’t make your performance that much more epic; shit, I’m willing to watch Barry Manilow if I was in Amsterdam and I’d visited about 25 cafes before stumbling into the venue). Back to the performance: I saw ‘Ye for the first time a little after this album dropped (much like Hyphen’s experience) and couldn’t believe what was before my eyes.
